H&M x Balmain

I'm not usually one to buy into the hype of a high street/ designer collaboration, and I can honestly say I don't own one item from any of these kind of collabs, BUT I have to say the prospect of some affordable Balmain items got me a little bit excited. H&M are known for getting some of the biggest names in the business involved in the high street and it is a really great idea - affordable fashion with a designer label. From Lagerfield to Cavalli to Wang, since 2004 H&M have been offering up some serious goods.
Balmain has become household name as of late, with a large thank you to the Kardashian clan for that one. But Olivier Rousteing (you beautiful, beautiful man you) has a lot to do with this recent surge in popularity for his amazing designs and high profile friendships. He has grown the house into a pop culture phenomenon, and his design are recognizable immediately.
This H&M collaboration is no different. Aspects of Rousteing and Balmain are apparent immediately, with heavy embellishments and embroidery, military style (#BalmainArmy, obvs) and luxurious materials and rich colours. Above are some of my favourite pieces from the range which I am super excited to see instore from November 5th. Which are your favourite pieces?!
