Shoe Haul! Jan 2015

I'm so aware that I haven't posted a blog in about a million years, and I do apologise. I just had my first week back at college and all I can say is it's going to be a long one...many hours. many classes, many assignments, many essays and a severe lack of a life for the next four months. But hey, someones gotta do it!
I thought, seeing as I've bought so many shoes in the past month I'd do a little haul since I haven't really had much time to do any outfit shoots. So it's just a quick one for today! Most of these were in the sale so it was serious bargain time for me; but this means I can't find links for most of them anymore!

Makeup Monday! Real Techniques Brushes

This week I wanted to do a post on my Real Techniques brushes. I usually used to use just cheap old foundation brushes from pharmacies  or even Penney's, but I've realised the investment is definitely worth it. These brushes are amazing, and really good value considering you get four in the pack. This one is the Core Collection with a buffer brush, contouring brush, foundation brush and detailer brush. I love the buffer brush it's perfect for setting your foundation with powder and smoothing everything out. Being me, I decided that I would use the contouring brush as a foundation brush and honestly I prefer it! Before I had this set I was using a cheapie stippling brush and I don't think I could ever go back to using a normal flat foundation brush! So using the contour brush for my foundation is working out perfectly, I use the foundation brush to fill in around my eyes and smaller places like that. The detailer brush is great, I don't know how I've lived without it! Its perfect for around the brows, fixing lipstick mistakes (could also be used as a lipstick brush!) and I use it for concealer too! So many uses in one little brush! I really love the orangey/ rose-gold tones of the brushes, they look really classy but they still have a good grip right on the end! Really want to try out some more of their products, especially the new Bold Metals collection!

Vintage Forest Florals

This is the last of my posts from Prague, and tomorrow I'm back at college. Excuse me as I tumble back to reality with a bang. Back to college, back to the books, back to the stress; big thumbs down.
Anyway, this skirt was too gorgeous for me to leave behind in Zara before Christmas, I love the muted colours and the pattern, it feels really vintage to me. It's great material too, kind of like very light scuba is how I would describe it, and is straight cut across the edges, with no hem. These are the little details that I love! I paired it with this big beige poloneck to keep with the colours, I felt like something from the seventies with the poloneck, all I was missing was the shearling coat and floppy hat! Instead I paired it with this fluffy bobble on to keep my noggin toasty cos it was COLD. My red bag brightened up the dark colours (this is still available in some Vero Moda stores by the way!!) and I went for comfort in my flat Chelsea Boots.

Tunnel Vision

Possibly one of my favourite outfits from my week in Prague. I was thinking of getting some fishnet tights to wear under my ripped jeans for a little extra warmth and then I saw these floral tights in H&M and went for them instead! Not quite as grunge as the fish nets but still really cool! A great idea if you want to wear your ripped jeans in the freezing cold like I did! And how surprising, I'm in almost all black, again! But hey it has to be the most versatile and flattering colour so I won't be moving on from this phase for a looooong time. This polo neck is so great, I bought it a few sizes up so it would be extra baggy and its perfect, especially half tucked into jeans or even untucked and left loose. It's really soft and I'm such a fan of grey too. It's quite a plain outfit but the tights really make it much cooler I think; I wore my staple black oversized coat and chunky cut out boots. I wore my pink MiMoneda coin to add a little colour and sparkle to the otherwise colourless outfit!
