Random Penneys and Tiger Haul!

I haven't had time to post all this week, college is super crazy at the moment! So I thought I'd do a really quick blog from my last shopping trip last weekend. It was a quick trip, just to Penneys and Tiger in Limerick city - I love Tiger! It has the most random and quirky household things and just great little finds!

I live in chunky boots! So these open toed ones from Penneys will be great to keep the boot love going but also transitioning into Spring/Summer time

I'm not a big fan of pumps, they're just not really for me! I had a teaching practice today though, so I really needed just some plain black pumps to look respectable rather than my chunky boots or converse!

I love these little metallic tattoos! They've been everywhere and so many celebs have been sporting these lately. So when I saw them in Penneys for €2 I had to buy some. Can't wait to wear them for summertime!

I got these cute little lights to hang around the top of my bed in college, I love fairylights and candles everywhere!

I know, how random, and what will I need a mini tea set for? But I have big plans for this little set, soon to be on the blog!

This gigantic candle smells so good, and I feel like its going to last forever! I need to find something big enough to put under it though so the wax doesn't get all over my desk! It smells amazing and because its so big my whole room just smells of "dusky rose".
And finally, this cute little Tiger Iphone cover from Tiger! I need the soft squishy covers becuase I drop my phone so often, I feel like they give more protection than the hard cases!

Makeup Monday| Sleek Eyebrow Kit

Yeah I know, it's about time these bad boys had a trim but I just had to show you the kit! Need to contact the Brow Fairy ASAP.

Alrighty, after hearing some really great things about Sleek Makeup and loving their affordable price range, I went a little crazy on the website - which is why I've decided to break the haul up into smaller chunks cos otherwise you might be bored to sleep with a super long post!
Starting off, I love the  matte black packaging, it looks great and it is really sleek (I see what you did there), but the only thing is I find it gets grubby really quick inside my makeup box. I know, maybe its my fault and my makeup box isn't as tidy as it should be, but I was still surprised by how quickly it picked up dirt and residue from other products floating around in there! Other than that, on point.
Now to the actual product - I love it. I never thought I could love an eyebrow powder as much as I loved my Fuschia kit, but this one is seriously good. The powder is somehow the perfect colour for redheads - it's brown but has like a teeny weeny hint of red in there and I really appreciate it. The brow wax is something which I never usually use but I tried it out a couple times and I'm hooked - I love it. So, so good, perfect colour and great for getting the lines right and has great staying power.
Moving on to the brow gel - something else I never used- I find myself using it every single day. It's great if your going for a Cara Delevingne (oh my gosh I struggled so much with that spelling) it really helps to hold the shape and gives more ooomph to your brows.
Really really happy with this little brow box and gel from Sleek, I'd definitely recommend it!

Dress over Pants

Remember in like the early noughties when nothing was cooler than those pants that had a miniskirt attached to them? And now you wouldnt be caught dead in that kind of situation? Think again. Dresses over pants are making a biiig comeback this spring summer, seen on the runways from Christian Dior to the painfully stylish Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's line The Row. Since Emma Watson absolutely won at this look, I think it's time we all get a little more adventurous and embrace the dress over pants trend.

Dresses over pants can be done in different ways as seen on Dior's runway
Steven Alan keeps his style light and summer ready
This street style by Maja Wyh is to die for, I love the thick slouchy jumper dress over jeans
All white and all amazing at Kym Ellery
Neutral shades and loose shapes at The Row
And finally, the queen of layers and the dress-over-pants trend -Leandra Medine of Manrepeller

I'm looking forward to trying out this trend, I'll probably chance a baggy dress over jeans for daytime kind of look, or a slip dress over black jeans for a night time affair - keep and eye out for that! What do you guys think? Will you be trying out this style any time soon or leaving it for the trendsetters and the runways? Let me know! Happy Saturday!

Khaki Mad

Has it all gotten a little bit too much? My khaki obsession hasn't even reached it's peak yet! I promise I'll break up the posts a little bit more but I am currently living in khaki and can't help work it into all my day to day outfits! This is just another super casual look, I wore this for lunch and a little walk around the city, it was pretty windy though and I could have done with another layer! These silver bangles and layered silver necklaces are fab, I love delicate jewellery, and from Penneys these were a total bargain! The chain can add so much detail to a simple top, and the feather and arrow charms are so cute! I think this camel scarf goes really well with the khaki duster coat, adding more colour but staying with the theme kind of. This is such a simple outfit to put together, and I'm still all about those ripped black jeans too! Slip on shoes are great for transitioning into spring, they're light but still can keep your toes a bit warmer than pumps or sandals - I'm very not ready for them yet!!
