The Hunt for the Cheshire Cat

"Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to" said the Cat.

"I don't much care where -" said Alice

"Then it doesn't much matter which way you go." said the Cat

This watch is part of the hunt - once you get to the end you hand it in and get a little reward for your hard work!

Yeah yeah OK I know by now you're all saying "alright Ciara, we get it, you like Alice in Wonderland" and I'm sorry if it's getting a little old but I HAD to share this dress. I've actually had it since about May and didn't end up wearing it until recently - half because it was almost like a collectors piece, or a work of art - I'd take it out every now and then and just look at it becuase (to me at least) it's so perfect! So I was a little afraid to wear it. But then I found the perfect excuse - The Hunt for the Cheshire Cat by Hidden City. It's something I have wanted to do for ages but just never really got around to, or got other people to go with me. So one day I just bought two tickets and coerced my boyfriend into going with me, and even he said it was a lot of fun, which I'd take as sky-high praise. I don't want to give away too much so it doesn't ruin the surprise of it all - we went into it pretty much blind and it was brilliant that way as we had no expectations. You start at The National Portrait Gallery and get text messages from the Cheshire Cat himself. These texts lead you to the next clue to the next to the next... we ended up in corners of London that we had never been to before, or even knew existed which was so cool! You get a couple breaks between for food and drinks but you can opt out and just smash through the hunt. There are a few different options in the hunt and depending on your choices it can all end very differently - but everyone ends up at the same place in the end. We saw a few other groups who had played that day and everyone looked like they enjoyed it so much! The hunt ends in October sometime so if you're interested I'd say hop to it! (Also yes, this is one of the many versions I have of the book - it is SO BEAUTIFUL and I bought it in this little vintage book shop in Bath)
