Mustard Knits

Sorry for the lack of post the last few days! I've been up the walls enjoying myself in Prague in the snow (for one day but still it made my year!) Mustard is one of those colours that you hear and think "ew. no." But it's actually a great colour for winter - spring. It brightens up outfits but still has a warmth to it. A good mustard knit is essential. Hats and scarves in mustard can also carry you over the transitional period. This sweater is so soft and cosy, it's great with dark jeans but as it's quite fitted it also works really well with skirts. I don't know what it is about this colour but I love it with any kind of tartan or plaid pattern in any colour. I've worn it with a dark red and navy checked shirt underneath, with a plaid scarf and here with this navy and dark green check coat; I guess I just go crazy for anything tartan! I thought I'd wear these Timberland lookalike boots to finish off the lumberjack-y look of the outfit and the colour matched perfectly with the sweater - this outfit was a whole load of comfy. I went for some cute gold and pearly jewellery for a finishing touch; this bangle by Chrysalis is one of the nicest gifts I got this year. I think I'll need to start up a collection, they look great stacked up. The other bracelet and the necklace were gifts too, perfect for my new pearly jewellery love!
