Burgundy Brogues

(^Rogue dog)

Of late I've really started to like the whole androgynous style - my obsession with Alexa Chung may just have something to do with it. Button up shirts, crew necks, blazers, loafers, brogues... the list goes on. It's an easy way to style, for a low key simple look go for a baggy white tee, plain jeans and some slick shoes - it's all about a minimal male silhouette. There's just something about it I really like - but I'm not quite ready to don the whole three piece suit yet. So I'll slowly move into it, and these brogues are the best way to go.
I love these shoes, they are perfect to pair with jeans and a sweater for an Oxford-chic look or to man up a skater skirt and shirt. I went for the burgundy colour as I thought it was a nice change to black, and a better transitional colour. With rolled up black skinny jeans (these are more like boot-cut but I like how the cuff isn't too tight to the leg) I felt super boyish, especially paired with the long length leather jacket. I went with this purpley fuzzy jumper as the colours went so well together, and a camel scarf to finish it all off. I need to be better at experimenting more with different styles, sometimes I get in a rut and get lazy but change is always good when it comes to wardrobe!
