And does it come as any surprise that they're all nudes? Nah.
So here we have it! My top 5 drugstore lipsticks. They just recently opened a "Teta" shop in the metro station by my apartment so that's what spurred this on, because the makeup counters there are too much. Like insane amounts of amazing things. So of course I went a blew and couple dollah bills!
- First up (in the swatches) is the Sleek "Matte Me" liquid lipstick in Petal. So so pretty for spring and summer and I love mixing/layering it with other lipsticks, or using it right in the middle of my lips for a little ombre effect.
- Next we have the only lipgloss on my list (and I know Avon isn't exactly drugstore makeup but it kiiiiiinda fits in here)in "Naturally Bare" from the Ultra Glazewear line. I put this over pretty much any nude lipstick for a little shine!
- Third is one of my all time favourites (and again yes ok I get that Penney's isn't drugstore but come on - same price point!)from the PS... cosmetics from Primark. This is THE perfect matte nude and I wear it daily. ALSO did you know the bottom comes off and it's a little gloss?! Amazing.
- Fourth is my new abso fave lipstick ever ever - and the one that spurred this blog post! Essence Velver Matt in 08 is a beautiful mauvey/nudey/sort of kind of greigey colour and I'm obsessed. This with the Avon gloss over it is diviiiine! (Check out my snapchat @ciaranoelleoc for some pictures!)
- And finally, a "your lips but better" shade from Wet'n'Wild in "In the Flesh". Another daily favourite, this is a little matte and also a little satiny, and comes out with a gorgeous finish.
