A Weekend in Bath

So yes, last weekend we toddled off to Bath for a weekend of sight seeing. It is such a lovely city and so close to London, there's really no reason not to go! We mostly walked around to see the sights - Bath Abbey, Pulteney Bridge, the Royal Crescent - and we ended up going in to see the Roman Baths (worth the ticket price, it's so interesting!) and getting a boat tour down the River Avon which was so lovely. There are lots of lovely little shops and cafes around the city, and of course Thermae Spa where you can do as Romans do (or did!) and have a little spa time! We ate in some amazing restaurants - most notably Opa, the Pulteney Kitchen, Chez Dominique and the Roman Baths Kitchen - and stayed in the Premier Inn which was IDEAL as Bath city is literally on your doorstep, and the train/ bus station is about a 10 minute walk away!

I didn't take that many photos - particularly on our second day there as it was LASHING rain, but it was a fantastic weekend and I would definitely go back to see more (and eat more!)
