Red And Navy

I've had this skirt for ages but I've been waiting for a good outfit to style it with to post, and when I put this one all together I thought it was great! I love a good poloneck incase you hadn't noticed, and oh, whats that? More plaid? Yep. I originally thought to pair these with my white fur gilet but after my splurge I found this coat went with it so well. It really brightens it up and ties together all the colours. The skirt is great but its a little difficult to put tops with it for some reason; this polo neck is perfect for it though. This coat is so warm I can't tell you how much I love it! The colour and the cut and the shape and everything... I'm obsessed. Its great to throw over anything and it really makes the outfit. These are the new boots I mentioned a few posts ago; they are so comfortable and cool! I love the velvety touch to them. The heel is a great height too, it's a little lift but chunky enough to make them easy to walk in.

The Bridge

We took these pictures on the Living Bridge in UL; it's so cool, it bounces when you walk over it! U.L is such a nice campus so I decided to take advantage of it and take some pictures there. This outfit to me sums up Autumn colours. I know its almost Winter and sometimes it feels like its already here but I'm still in the autumnal swing of things! These leggings are a great winey/burgundy colour, and are so think and comfy; I have them in a forest green colour too! I paired them with this great mustard top which though you cant see, is quite oversized with short sleevs, and also ridiculously comfortable. I'm a fan of all things feather, fur or fluff and this coat is perfect for me. The colour is so different, I don't have anything in my wardrobe like it and I love anything a little bit different. Its more of a coatigan than anything but great to throw on over a little shirt and pants for chilly days. I remembered this scarf which I haven't pulled out in ages and I realised it tied in all the colours perfectly; I love these little touches. This is one of my favourite bags of all time. I bargained my butt off for it on the strip when I lived in Santa Susanna in Spain and I never regretted it. It's such a great boho bag with the leather and the woven aztec on the front flap. I'm really into leopard footwear at the moment, when I was in Prague I saw a girl wearing amazing brown and leopard print boots and I've been lusting for some since! I managed to find these sweet little flats instead and they'll do me until I find my dream boots!

Winter Sun

And I'm back to my usual monochrome ways. I loved this look, the fur and the leather and the houndstooth all tied in so well together! I love layering this gilet with this jacket, I need to start switching up and layering it over other coats too. Gilets are such a good investment as the layering you can do with them is endless! I'm on the hunt for a good brown one to add to my collection now.  I found this shirt on the sail rack in Penneys while I was having a houndstooth moment and had to have it. It'll look great tucked into some black pants or jeans with a blazer for a more businessy look. This jacket is such a great length (you can't see it here, but it just covers the butt) and I love that about it as it's a bit different. I wore a plain black skirt under it all and paired it with my fedora and chunky, chunky chelsea boots.

Wink, Wink.

This red jumper is amazing! It's so bright and really eye catching, and so warm and cosy. It's the perfect length too, nice and long and baggy. This white shirt shrunk in the wash, but rather than throw it away I decided to do some DIY on it! I saw Luanna from LEHAPPY with a shirt like this and thought it was so quirky, and really easy to do! I just used a sharpie for it but if you had a little more time and talent you could embroider it so it would last longer. I paired this look with my thrifted tartan coat, brown boots and the cutest raccoon socks!

High Street Bargain Hunting

I went on a little spree yesterday to cure my unhappy hungover head and I found some great things! New Look have a fantastic sale on at the moment, nearly all their coats are on sale and woolly jumpers and cardigans too! I got this beauty from (here) for half price! It's no secret that I love this pattern, and this shape of coat, so when I saw it for half price I had to buy it! I popped into River Island for a quick look and this brightly coloured coat (here) caught my eye immediately. Its incredibly soft and so warm, and the bright colour is so different! It'll brighten up even the dullest winter day. and considering it was a third of the original price I nabbed it straight away! I got a few other bits and bobs, a velvety pair of chelsea boots, a grey woolly jumper and (finally!) a faux fur collar to put on my new coats! All in all it was a successful trip!
